Cookie Policy

PAWCAP uses almost no cookies. Here is the whole list, and the one choice you can make.

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We also use the browser's local storage for a few preferences. We set no advertising or tracking cookies and we run no analytics service.

Necessary

These make the site work. They are always on.

  • apn_auth: keeps you signed in. A random session id; it expires when the session does.

  • pawcap_consent: remembers your cookie choice for one year.

  • apn_mailchimp_connect: a short-lived token while you connect Mailchimp, then gone.

  • Local storage (apn-dashboard-sidebar): whether your sidebar is open or collapsed. On a pet owner's private chat page, the link back to their conversation.

Embedded media (your choice)

Articles, lessons, and messages can hold a video from YouTube or Vimeo. When the player loads, those companies can set their own cookies and see that you watched. We load YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode. If you turn embedded media off, we show a placeholder instead of the player until you allow it.

Payment pages

When you pay, Stripe or PayPal load their own checkout and may set cookies needed to prevent fraud. Those are necessary for the payment and are covered by their policies.

Your settings

Change your choice any time on the Cookie settings page or by clearing cookies in your browser.
