Taxes, currency, and your country
Pick your country once. It sets the currency every price is in. Turn on the taxes you collect and each one is added as its own line at checkout.
Country and currency
- 1
Go to Settings, then Payments.
- 2
Pick your country. Every price you set, on event types, packages, and courses, is in that country's currency.
- 3
Connect Stripe or PayPal. The country goes to Stripe when the account is made, so it locks once connected.
Taxes
Turn on each tax you collect with its rate, for example GST and a provincial tax. Each is a separate line at checkout, on the receipt, and in the email.
Add your tax ID numbers. Stripe checks the shape, and the number prints under the tax on receipts where the law expects it (Canada's GST/HST number, for one).
Every event type, package, and course has a Taxable switch, on by default. Turn it off for anything exempt.
PAWCAP's own charges
Membership, Plus, and sponsorships are always in US dollars, whatever your country.
